Quality
It is said that the quality of the habano lies at the junction of four factors: climate, soil, wisdom of farmers and Cuban cigar rollers and the varieties of black Cuban tobacco.
Despite attempts made to reach the quality of a genuine habano in other regions of the world starting from a Cuban seed, it never reaches the quality of the tobacco made in Cuba. The combination of climatic factors with the characteristics of the Cuban territory make it an authentic product of Cuba, certified with stamps decorating the boxes of the different Cuban brands.
HABANO HISTORY

Habano
Referred to all tobacco or cigars in which 100% of the tobacco is grown up and manufactured in Cuba, after multiple and severe controls at the agricultural, cultivation and drying processes.
History
The tobacco is a native plant of South America, it is said it came to Cuba between two or three thousand years before our era. The Cuban natives (mostly composed of the so-called Indian Taino) were loyal consumers of tobacco, for them it was like a medicine and essential to accompany social, political and religious ceremonies, it was part of their main crops.
On the arrival of the Spanish to Cuba, tobacco plant spans to the world, instantly triggering a strong passion for it, Spain has the largest number of adherents. Then it spread to other parts of Europe.
King Felipe V stablished in April 11, 1717 a royal monopoly of tobacco that was grown in Cuba, a decision that has gone down in history with the name "Estanco del Tabaco".
It was exclusively cultivated by free men, which was made possible by the Spanish immigrants who originated the Cuban peasantry.
The nineteenth century reaffirmed the production of tobacco in the West Indies: and by 1859 there were about 10,000 vegas and around 1,300 factories in the capital.
Currently, the marketing of Cuban cigar products is exclusively in the hands of Habanos SA, joint venture belonging equally to Cubatabaco, Cuban state enterprise and Imperial Tabacco, through the merger of Tabacalera and Seita.
Cultivation
Cuba is located near the Tropic of Cancer, with a relative humidity of 79% and an average temperature of 25 ° C; It receives rainfall mainly favoring the western region, where the largest tobacco vegas are located in Cuba.
If we add to this climate the soil characteristics of Cuba, for example the chemical composition and agricultural properties that distinguish tobacco areas and the experience and care that the rollers put to make the Cuban product, it can be easily understood the habano succes.
Cultivation begins in the nursery area where the seeds with optimum conditions for germination and development are deposited before being transferred to the field; They stay there about 40 days. In October the planting is done in stages. To collect the sheet, a waiting period from 45-80 days is required.
After going through these steps, the tobacco is taken to the places of threading for the subsequent drying and fermentation process. The choosing process is usually worked by female hands, looking for softness and delicacy in the selection and classification to benefit each collected leaf.
